Dr. Maja Jakovljević

Licensed Clinical Psychologist | Founder

I’m Dr. Maja Jakovljević, a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Willow Psychology Group. I work with adults who are navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, and life transitions—often while carrying a great deal of responsibility in their personal or professional lives.

My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a deep belief in the power of support, connection, and truly feeling understood. My professional journey, education, and life experiences all shape the way I show up—with the goal of creating a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to grow at your own pace while moving toward meaningful change.

How I Work

My approach to therapy is integrative, trauma-informed, and deeply relational. I focus on understanding you as a whole person—your experiences, relationships, and the ways you’ve learned to navigate the world.

Together, we may explore patterns that show up in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships—especially those shaped by earlier experiences. These patterns are approached with curiosity and compassion, with an emphasis on understanding what they once offered you and whether they still serve you today.

Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or emotions, therapy focuses on developing a different relationship with your inner world. We work toward greater flexibility, self-understanding, and the ability to move through life in ways that feel more aligned with what matters most to you.

I view therapy as a collaborative and deeply human process. My role is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you—at a pace that respects your nervous system, your history, and your capacity—while building safety, insight, and self-compassion.

Above all, I value:

  • Authentic human connection

  • A collaborative, non-judgmental relationship

  • Thoughtful pacing and attunement

  • Deep respect for your lived experience and strengths
